Developing a Smokin’ Hottt Culture
Mike Jones, President & Master Trainer, Discover Leadership Training
A strong business culture is one that has a positive environment with excitement and enthusiasm, where all team members are special and respected as individuals and are challenged to go beyond the norms and create new possibilities. How does your business measure up to this standard? Whatever your current state of affairs at your business is, we all occupy the largest room in the house and that is the room for improvement. Mike’s training session will give you concrete methods to develop a “Smokin’ Hottt Culture” by showing you what is in your blind spot, which is where all new possibilities for growth exist.  He will challenge your thinking, not by talking about concepts, but rather having you experience first-hand how the choices you have been making in your business may not truly be focused on the outcome.

Solving Your Personal Technician Shortage
Paul Gage, Owner & President, Performance Training Consultants
For almost 30 years the collision repair industry, like many other trades, has been struggling with a shortage of qualified staff.  The problem has reached crisis levels and solving the problem requires a complete rethink of our hiring, recruiting, and retention best practices. In this session we will look at the factors driving the human resource shortage and how owners and managers can best address those factors to create a more stable and effective workforce.  We will discuss the concepts of how industry changes have affected staffing models and employee retention and what collision center leadership can do to stay ahead of the staffing curve.  Participants will be lead through exercises on staff evaluation, succession planning, development planning, and recruiting using tools and techniques they can apply in their own shops.
